Job Description

The Digital Content Writer Assistant produces engaging content for motorboats, sailboats, and catamarans as well as all the various travel destinations around the world shown on the company website. Boatbookings carries huge reach across the world and working for us means you join a dynamic team in the heart of Victoria, London. This varied and demanding role owns content as well as carefully selecting appropriate photos, editing videos and ensuring the information on the boats and the destinations are beautifully presented.

We are busy which is why this role has been created to support one of the marketing and sales executives. We are also demanding in our search for a content writer who will have perfect English (grammar and punctuation are fundamental) together with an immaculate eye for detail and a flair for the creative too – be it for content or in your choice of photos.

You can be a school leaver or a graduate, we accept both - a true passion for writing and looking to move on and into the world of digital content writing for the best yachting website - just check out some of our itineraries and our guides, we promise you we spend a lot of time writing excellent content and beautiful photos.

The following is essential, so please don’t apply if this doesn’t fit you:

-       English Mother Tongue and some sailing experience.

-       A-Levels: English Language and two other subjects (B+ is a requirement for English).

-       Juggle multiple content projects simultaneously.

-       Learn to prioritise accordingly with the business objectives and the varied sailing seasons around the world.

-       Refining, tweaking, changing and working content continuously without getting bored!

This role covers both project work as well as typical day-to-day content tasks which provide a rewarding contribution to all the varied marketing and social media activities.  You will work very closely with the brokers to continue to enhance the content offering and drive enquiries.

The day-to-day tasks consist of updating and reviewing boats, their descriptions, and their photos; writing inspiring content across all the destinations and contributing to the blog content.


We have career progression at Boatbookings! We want you to keep learning! We can offer training on Google Analytics for example as well as develop your photo editing skills or video skills too.

The perks include traveling to boat shows to appreciate the content you are writing about. We have company retreats (sometimes sailing but next year we are skiing in January 2020). We are a small team with some autonomy, so we do look for responsible and driven personalities who want to make a difference to the boating world.
