Croatia Yacht Charter | Losinj

Losinj (pronounced loh-sheen) is a Croatian island in the northern Adriatic Sea, easily reachable from both Pula and Zadar.

Losinj Island and its two main villages, Mali Losinj and Veli Losinj, are enormously popular as yacht charter destinations, with their lovely beaches, great culture and impressive mountains. The 31km long island is separated from Cres Island by a thin canal.

Mali Losinj is undoubtedly the major attraction of Losinj Island mainly because of its beautiful natural beauty, extraordinarily clear azure sea, picturesque scenery, and pine-scented air.

The pine woods bordering Cikat Bay are cool and make for great walking, plus there are plenty of places to ride a bike, windsurf, bicycle or just wander along the seaside promenade. Cikat Bay has a long sandy cove, perfect for swimmers and windsurfers; while for keen divers, scuba diving is fabulous in the water offshore, with a wreck dating from 1917, a shallow cave which is great for those learning to dive; and the gorgeous Margarita Reef of Suzak Bay.

And if you are lucky, you might see dolphins - there is a protected colony in the waters off Losinj.
